How to Use OneTouch Ultra Test Strips
To test your blood glucose using a fingertip sample, you will need the following supplies:
- OneTouch Ultra 2 meter
- Lancing device
- a Sterile lancet
- OneTouch Ultra blood glucose test strip
Begin by inserting a new strip into the meter with the three contact bars facing you. When the “APPLY BLOOD” message appears on the meter, apply your blood sample. Position the meter with the strip edge near the drop of blood on your fingertip, guiding the strip to the blood. As the blood is drawn into the confirmation window, wait for the meter to display your glucose level, along with the unit of measure, time, and date.

- Do not use test strips from a broken or open vial.
- Return unused strips to the vial immediately after testing.
- Do not reuse, smear, or scrape blood onto the strips.
- Avoid moving the test strip during the test.
