Alphagan Z Ophthalmic Solution 0.1% (India) is a medicated eye drop designed to reduce and alleviate symptoms that may lead to vision impairment. Its active ingredient, Brimonidine Ophthalmic, is often prescribed by doctors to address elevated intraocular pressure that can damage the optic nerve.

Use of Alphagan Z Ophthalmic Solution 0.1% (India)

Containing the active agent Brimonidine, this solution works by stimulating the alpha receptors in the blood vessels of the eyes. Alphagan reduces the production of fluid within the eyes while simultaneously increasing the drainage of fluid from the eyes.

Precautions and Warnings

Avoid using Alphagan Ophthalmic Solution if you have a known hypersensitivity to it. Additionally, children under the age of two should not use this medication.

After application, this solution may cause blurred vision or drowsiness. In such cases, refrain from driving to ensure safety. If you wear contact lenses, make sure to remove them before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.

Dosage

Using this medication is straightforward. Prior to administering the drops, make sure your hands are clean. To apply, tilt your head back and form a small pouch with the lower part of your eyelids. Place at least one drop of the solution into the eye, twice daily, spaced 12 hours apart.
