Uses of Durezol Ophthalmic Eyedrops 0.05%
Durezol Ophthalmic Eyedrops 0.05% are utilized in the treatment of eye pain and postoperative inflammation. This medication is effective in preventing the release of substances in the body that trigger inflammation and irritation. Durezol is known generically as Difluprednate Ophthalmic.
Precautions and Warnings
Avoid using Durezol if you have glaucoma or are undergoing treatment for it. If you have an eye infection, refrain from using this eyedrop as it may exacerbate the condition and potentially increase the risk of further infection. Improper use of Durezol can result in blurry vision and other visual impairments.
Dosage
Typically, one drop of Durezol is effective in alleviating eye pain, to be administered four times daily. For patients recovering from eye surgery, the treatment should last for two weeks. If a positive response is observed, the frequency may be reduced to two times daily. In cases where the treatment is ineffective, an alternative eyedrop may be prescribed.
