This medication falls under the category of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Pexep Precautions and Warnings

Avoid using Pexep if you have a known allergy to it or its active ingredient, paroxetine. This medication may induce suicidal thoughts; therefore, any changes in behavior should be immediately reported to your healthcare provider.

To ensure that Pexep is safe for you, inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of any of the following conditions:

• Liver disease
• Kidney problems
• Seizures
• Sexual dysfunction
• Glaucoma
• Bleeding disorders

Pexep Dosage

The recommended dosages for Pexep are as follows:

For depression:

• Standard dose: 20 mg taken orally once daily.
• Maximum dose: 50 mg per day.

For depression (controlled-release or CR tablets):

• Standard dose: 25 mg taken orally once daily.
• Maximum dose: 62.5 mg per day.

For anxiety:

• Standard dose: 20 mg taken orally once daily.
• Maximum dose: 60 mg per day.

For anxiety (CR tablets):

• Standard dose: 12.5 mg taken orally once daily.
• Maximum dose: 37.5 mg per day.

For panic disorder:

• Standard dose: 10 mg taken orally once daily.
• Maximum dose: 60 mg per day.

For panic disorder (CR tablets):

• Standard dose: 12.5 mg taken orally once daily.
• Maximum dose: 75 mg per day.
