Uses of Pentasa
Pentasa is a prescription medication that treats ulcerative colitis in adults. It helps alleviate symptoms associated with this condition, including inflammation, ulcers in the intestines, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and rectal bleeding. Belonging to a class of drugs known as aminosalicylates, it works by reducing inflammation in the colon to manage inflammatory bowel disease.
